Who are Family Support Link?
Family Support Link is a charity based in Northamptonshire which aims to reduce the physical, psychological and emotional harm caused to families living with, or caring for someone who is addicted to drugs and/or alcohol, empowering them to improve their lives.
As an integral part of Northamptonshire’s substance misuse treatment system, it provides effective support, education and early intervention for those families. It also takes a long term approach in educating the wider community about the stigma, social exclusion and discrimination these families face on a daily basis and offers training for professionals, statutory and community bodies.
Strategy
Why did FSL choose LINKS Families?
Understanding the dynamics within the household and across the wider community is key to FSL’s impact. LINKS Families has been chosen as it is unique in its focus upon the whole family picture; its design is two tiered, with users able to record and view information at an individual and/or household level.
