Council-Wide CarePath Expansion in Buckinghamshire

Buckinghamshire County Council commissioned LINKS CarePath in 2007, allowing the Adult substance misuse services in the area to use a single system for recording their work with clients; this has given the council the ability to report closely on the services that they commission and use local data to shape their treatment system.

Over the last seven years the DAAT and the treatment providers have built up a solid understanding of the LINKS CarePath system and are able to use it to its fullest. As part of Buckinghamshire County Council’s re-structure, LINKS CarePath has been expanded across their Young Person’s Substance Misuse Service, which was successfully retained by Addaction in July 2014. The ILLY, Buckinghamshire DAT and Addaction teams worked together to ensure that existing client data was transferred over and the system was implemented by the service start date.

“We were really pleased with the roll-out of LINKS CarePath across our Buckinghamshire YP service. The project was pro-actively managed and the training’s interactive and practical style ensured our staff were ready to use the system before it went LIVE. Both ILLY and Buckinghamshire DAAT were very helpful and made the migration as smooth as possible”

Lesley Manka, Buckinghamshire YP Service Manager, Addaction
